bits of myself...My story cut short Born and raised in the sunny Algarve, however, I soon realized that my destiny would take me on an exciting journey that would extend beyond my wildest dreams. At the age of 18 I began my trip when I decided to take off to the big city in search of something more challenging. The University years opened up new horizons for me and academic experience brought me a totally different perspective of the world and its cultures. My degree in English and German Modern Languages and Literatures was completed in 2001, the year I set off to Germany looking for new adventures. And man I did find some… I had a great time – I learned a lot during my stay there, but I had to carry on with my journey and, so, after a 10 month period, I packed my suitcase and returned to my home base, my dearest Lisbon. Before I knew it I was wearing a uniform and trying to understand a new reality, unknown to me. The Portuguese Navy is now the sea I want to sail… so far life has been an interesting navigational trip.
